Porsche Engineering is contracted to support car manufacturers or original equipment suppliers, as well as companies from other industries, and combines the competence of Porsche as production manufacturer, technology company and engineering service provider, and makes it available to third parties.

Customer development is a lynchpin of the Porsche identity and an important component of Porsche. However, the public knows little about this. Porsche Engineering operates according to a policy of strict confidentiality to ensure that product strategies and the brand identities of its customers are always protected with the greatest care.

From the concept phase through to series production along the entire automotive production process, Porsche Engineering supports its customers with top quality in the development of components, systems, modules and complete vehicles. Demanding customers, extreme competitive pressure, legal requirements and technological demands pose enormous challenges to our engineers.

In each of your projects, you benefit from the competence in development and many years of experience of Porsche. No other independent car manufacturer makes its in-house know-how and developmental test facilities available to industrial customers. All worldwide customer development projects are controlled by Porsche Engineering Group GmbH (PEG) based in Weissach. Benefiting from the complex and sophisticated development network of Porsche, PEG is able to draw on the achievements and services of all of Porsche Engineering subsidiaries. In addition, the resources of the Porsche Research and Development Centre in Weissach are also available for customer developments as required.

Porsche Engineering works at its locations, and also on-site at the customer as requested. With its fully networked operations and the close exchange of information between all members of the project team, Porsche Engineering offers superior competence in providing an interface and allows an overall, cross-sectional approach for the smooth and highly productive completion of customer projects. Projects are controlled centrally in Weissach. Processes and structures of the Porsche Research and Development Centre in Weissach are designed such that all competences and test facilities from individual test benches to test tracks can be made available for customer development projects.
