A Water Sports Vehicle with Electric Drive

For battery-powered riding fun on and below the water surface, the water sports device Seabob from Cayago, in whose development Porsche Engineering played a major role, is hard to beat. The engineers of Porsche Engineering developed three electronic components for the patented water sports device: the engine control, the operating element with graphic display and the battery manager. Special electronics were developed that protect the lithium-ion batteries against damage.

Agile and maneuverable as a fish in water, on the surface and deep down – a ride with the Seabob makes it possible. Water sports enthusiasts can reach speeds from 15 to 20 km/h with the device, dive to depths of up to 40 meters and monitor their diving depth and the water temperature via the display. Meanwhile the motor is all but silent during start-up and produces no emissions. Porsche Engineering brings environmentally friendly driving pleasure to the water as well.
