Excellent design is not short lived. It does not cater to the taste of the masses. Nor does it follow trends. Rather, it sets a trend. Once and for all.
Like the 911. Is there a better example for the durability of a design idea? Or what successful styling evokes: emotions? Emotions, arising from the fascination for what we do – making design dreams come true. For our customers. For Porsche.
Successful design is moving. Even when standing still. But not for its own sake. It always follows function. In other words: A product should keep what its styling promises. To ensure this, our designers and engineers work hand in hand.
