Tests
Tests
Thermal Propagation Testing
We perform thermal propagation tests on lithium-ion batteries across all integration levels - cell, reactor, module, pack, and full vehicle - to evaluate fire behavior, containment strategies, and safety system performance under extreme conditions.
Short Circuit
Our lab offers short circuit testing up to 25kA to validate the response and reliability of circuit breakers, fuses, and battery protection systems under fault conditions.
ARC calorimetry
We conduct ARC calorimetry tests to characterize thermal runaway in lithium-ion cells. Multiple trigger options are available, including heating wire, external overheating, direct short circuit, and nail penetration.
Post-test diagnostic
Post-test diagnostic
Detailed analysis of batteries after testing to provide insightful diagnostics and recommendations and to transform data in insights.
Prototype development
Prototype development
Support and develop of small-scale prototypes for subsequent testing.
Advanced data acquisition
Advanced data acquisition
Utilization of an extensive array of sensors and data acquisition technologies, including FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) analysis.
Customized testing solutions
Customized testing solutions
Tailored testing services to meet specific customer requirements.

Advanced testing
The Energy team, composed of engineers and chemists, efficiently adapts to custom test specifications defined by the client, ensuring reliable results and seamless live-streaming of all testing activities.
A diverse range of sensing devices enables comprehensive data acquisition from the DUT (Device Under Test), including thermocouples, pressure sensors, standard cameras, infrared (IR) cameras, and high-speed cameras. Additionally, the team supports rest-bus simulations and automotive protocols (CAN, XCP, EtherCAT, etc.) for efficient data logging.
Specialized resources for ECU flashing and field-bus data communication are available upon request.
Activity insights
Tear-down and post-mortem
The team is capable of working on DUTs (Devices Under Test) in any electrical or modification state (HV/non-HV, critical/non-critical) while strictly adhering to internal procedures and client requirements.
By combining modern technologies with extensive field experience, from single-cell to full-vehicle level, the team ensures the delivery of high-quality reports to clients.
Additionally, the presence of a chemist provides professional support for laboratory-grade post-test analyses.
Data and test live streaming
Real-time testing, anytime, anywhere: through secure live streaming, customers can follow every step of the test remotely; ensuring visibility, control, and faster decisions without being physically present.
Test data could also be securely transmitted for further evaluation, offering maximum flexibility and responsiveness throughout the testing process.

The Battery Testing Site
The Battery Testing Site is equipped with a high-capacity extraction and filtration system, featuring an integrated hood for safe removal of hazardous substances. The interior is fully lined with steel panels, ensuring robust protection, while a high-performance ventilation system and overpressure panels further enhance safety.
The facility includes an immersion tank capable of accommodating vehicles up to SUV category. It also supports uninterrupted 24/7 remote monitoring, enabling continuous operation without limitations in testing capabilities.
Key areas include:
a tear-down zone for battery disassembly
a DUT preparation area
an internal lab space
an immersion tank
These features enable complex testing under extreme conditions while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
