Five years on the Innovation Campus in Ostrava: Advancing technologies for automotive and beyond
This June marks five years since Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o. (PECZ) established its location on the innovation campus in Ostrava. The Czech subsidiary of Porsche Engineering, the international technology partner for the automotive industry and beyond, had launched its activities in Ostrava seven years ago and quickly relocated to the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Center, a local hub for high-tech development. Since then, Porsche Engineering has continuously expanded its local competencies to deliver cutting-edge solutions across increasingly complex and integrated value chains.
The Ostrava site plays an essential role within the international development network of Porsche Engineering, with a clear focus on future-oriented E/E architectures, high-voltage systems, and connected mobility. These areas are particularly relevant as the automotive and other high-tech industries accelerate their transformation toward electrification, software-defined architectures, and intelligent infrastructure. In Ostrava, development teams work with artificial intelligence, cloud-based platforms, and advanced simulation environments to enable fast, scalable, and reliable system integration.
“With a highly skilled and motivated team, strong regional partnerships, and the courage to innovate, we are shaping tomorrow’s technologies today,” explains Miloš Polášek, Managing Director of Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o. “Our work goes beyond individual projects. We translate forward-looking ideas into robust solutions that support our customers’ long-term strategic goals – whether on the road or in space.”

The Moravian-Silesian region, where Ostrava is located, offers strategic advantages thanks to its strong industrial heritage, leading technical universities, skilled workforce, and proximity to key automotive locations across Central and Eastern Europe. These factors make it an attractive engineering environment for manufacturers and suppliers from various industries alike. Porsche Engineering’s collaboration with the Moravian-Silesian Innovation Center also contributes to the development of the Ostrava-Poruba district, supporting innovation not only in the automotive sector but also in related high-tech industries.
“For seven years, we have successfully grown our presence in Ostrava and built strong ties with regional stakeholders,” adds Sebastian Scholze, Director of the Ostrava site.
“This provides a solid foundation for delivering sophisticated development solutions tailored to the evolving needs of our partners from the automotive industry and beyond — both today and in the future.”
