Porsche Engineering continues expansion in OstravaGrowing team and new R&D office for the engineering services provider

Stuttgart/Prague. Almost two years after establishing its engineering activities in Ostrava, Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o., the Czech subsidiary of the international engineering services provider Porsche Engineering Group GmbH, has moved to a new, enlarged R&D office in the Scientific and Technological Park Ostrava. With this move, Porsche Engineering continues the substantial growth of the Ostrava branch, which complements the competencies of the well-established Prague R&D location. It recently celebrated its fifty-employee milestone in Ostrava, fast approaching the target of 65 employees it has planned for the end of this year.

The new office of the German engineering services provider in Ostrava offers a high-tech working environment, reflecting the highly specialized and technical work Porsche engineers do every day. Currently covering 1,000 square meters of offices, labs and workshops, the new Porsche Engineering premises are designed to meet the requirements of a growing team of experts in the field of software and hardware development and electronics integration for the automotive industry as well as New Work demands.

“Our new office in the Scientific and Technological Park Ostrava provides us a unique space with a variety of options. It enables us to concentrate our activities and matches our needs for further expansion,” says Doc. Miloš Polášek, Managing Director of Porsche Engineering s.r.o. ”The expansion is just another example of our commitment to building new competencies in the automotive fields of the future and to close relationships with universities.” Cooperations with universities have always been a cornerstone in the growth strategies of Porsche Engineering. With establishing an office directly in Ostrava’s university campus, Porsche Engineering strives to deepen the cooperation with VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava.

With the new office, Porsche Engineering continues to invest in the technically demanding field of the mobility of the future. ”Our projects in Ostrava focus on automotive trends such as autonomous driving and smart mobility,” explains Michal Petřek, Director of Porsche Engineering Ostrava “For example, we have completely novel and exciting projects related to the smart charging infrastructure for upcoming electric vehicles. Along with the expansion of our project range, our need for new engineering experts is rising.”
