HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) & Confidentiality

In the field of automotive testing, two aspects are of utmost importance: confidentiality and safety. The Nardò Technical Center is particularly committed to ensuring the highest possible standards in terms of confidentiality and safety as well as health and environmental protection, by implementing a strict policy of continuous improvement.

Health, Safety, Environment
Health, Safety, Environment
The protection of the health and safety of all customers and users of the Proving Ground, together with the safeguard of the environment surrounding NTC, are our main priorities. Therefore, NTC has been always adopting the highest safety standards from structural, infrastructural, technological, technical-organizational and operational perspectives.
NTC has implemented its own policies within the management system of health and safety in the workplace according to UNI EN ISO 45001:2018 and the environmental management system according to UNI EN ISO 14001:2015. The above regulations guarantee a standardized management of working activities in compliance with the protection of workers and natural resources.
The Proving Ground can also rely on a team of professionals specialized in technical and sanitary rescue and a team of highly qualified fire-fighting staff who supervise the Proving Ground 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, together with the security staff. The teams are supplied with state-of-the-art equipment and are able to intervene promptly by executing rescue and emergency operations.

  • Appropriate escape routes for each track
  • Yellow/red/blue warning lights
  • Access traffic lights on tracks
  • Vertical traffic signs at track access points
  • Information panels
  • Remote management of test tracks from the Control Room
  • Speed limit indicators
  • Road and traffic control in common areas
  • Continuous supervision of all test facilities and common areas by staff in charge
  • Check of the correct use of the equipment and protective devices provided
In order to ensure the safety of all users of the Proving Ground, access to the tracks and facilities is only permitted upon the acquisition of the "Proving Ground Usage License". Users can get the license by attending a specific training course in which the safety rules and regulations in force are explained. For further information, please refer to the "Safety Handbook".
In order to guarantee the confidentiality of customers' projects, NTC applies strict measures and employs highly specialized security staff on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. All information on commercial activities, operations, prototypes and tests carried out in the NTC facilities, therefore, remains strictly confidential and private.
Over ten kilometres of protective barriers along the High Speed Ring, trees and vegetation protect the Proving Ground from unwanted spectators.
In order to be authorized to access the Nardò Technical Center, all users must agree to comply with the regulations in force by signing a confidentiality agreement.
