Change at the top of the Nardò Technical CenterManagement changes at the testing grounds in southern Italy

Stuttgart/Nardò.Fabio Barsotti will be leaving the executive management of the Nardò Technical Center for personal reasons effective June 15, 2018. Until further notice, Edmund Sander will take over sole responsibility for running the facility. Sander has been the Technical Director of the Nardò Technical Center since 2013 and has played a decisive role in integrating the testing grounds into the Porsche Group.

Under Barsotti’s leadership, the Nardò Technical Center successfully laid the foundation for testing the mobility of tomorrow. “Fabio Barsotti made a significant contribution to the positive development of the testing grounds,” says Malte Radmann, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Engineering Group and the Partner Board of the Nardò Technical Center. “We would like to thank Mr. Barsotti for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Since Porsche Engineering acquired the Nardò Technical Center, significant investments in the continuous renovation and expansion of the testing grounds have been made. Currently the testing center employs over 150 staff, who are busily readying themselves for the mobility of the future. In Nardò, they have been quick to recognize the challenges that autonomous driving and electromobility in particular pose in the testing context and are creating precisely the environment that the developers will need in the years and decades to come.
