Establishing a Shanghai subsidiary in 2015 not only intensified our longstanding collaboration with Chinese customers but opened up new opportunities–for us as well as our clients. The number of Porsche Engineering employees in Shanghai has increased significantly over the past several years of development, and the location has expanded along with it.

The new location in Beijing extends and complements the competencies of Porsche Engineering at its other Chinese site in Shanghai, where more than 160 employees are already working on various high-tech automotive projects. In China, Porsche Engineering employs primarily experts for highly automated driving, chassis, high-voltage systems, connected services and infotainment, who work on a variety of automotive projects.

For both conventional and active chassis systems, we provide various engineering services including system integration, design & simulation, test & validation, calibration and tuning. Our support ensures the application of the chassis systems.

Our engineers deliver expertise in electrics/electronics architecture as well as component and system development and integration.

With regard to China-specific functions, our team is experienced in testing and validation with HiL and test automation (e.g. test management and testing strategy, HIL test-bench building, modeling and testing environment, test-case implementation and automation, result analysis, and error tracking).
In addition, we support our customers in the homologation of internal combustion engines and durability tests for complete vehicles.

For new energy vehicles, we develop high-power charging solutions with high efficiency.

We provide solutions for advanced technology and proof-of-concept projects for clients in the fields of advanced driver assistance, autonomous driving, in-vehicle-infotainment systems, and V2X.
