Sports car manufacturer from Stuttgart announces the “Porsche Engineering Award”Award for best theses on the subject of mechanical engineering at Prague Technological University

Stuttgart/Prague. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has announced a prize for up-and-coming engineers studying at the Technical University of Prague. Each year from 2006, the top three theses written by students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on a topic provided by Porsche will be presented with the "Porsche Engineering Award". In addition, the winner will also be offered a doctoral position at Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o. (PES) in Prague. Professor Petr Zuna, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Prague has today been handed a letter in this regard by Wolfgang Dürheimer, Director of Research and Development at Porsche AG.

The “Porsche Engineering Award", which will be presented for the first time in February 2006, should further deepen relations between Porsche and the Technical University of Prague. The two partners have already collaborated in the area of technical calculation and simulation since 1996. Porsche Engineering Services s.r.o. (PES) based in Prague was founded in 2001. It is a full subsidiary of Porsche Engineering Group GmbH in Weissach.
