Stuttgart/Shanghai. Engineering services provider Porsche Engineering Group GmbH offers an international platform for technical dialog for the business and science communities: On November 21, 2018, the first Tongji Porsche Engineering Symposium will be held in Shanghai. With the symposium, which this year is dedicated to the theme of chassis development, the fully owned subsidiary of Porsche AG is further intensifying its long-standing cooperation with Tongji University and promoting technical exchange concerning new trends and technologies.

In 15 speeches, renowned experts from the fields of business and research will talk about the latest developments and research in the field of chassis development. Held at the new Porsche Experience Center Shanghai, the event will offer 100 invited guests, including top decision-makers in the Chinese automotive industry, a practice-oriented platform for dialog. In addition to the technical presentations, invitees will have the opportunity to experience current chassis technologies in a driving experience on the race tracks of the Porsche Experience Center.

“Through automotive trends such as highly automated driving and connectivity, the possibilities and challenges in chassis development are constantly rising,” explains Malte Radmann, Managing Director of Porsche Engineering. “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers and partners a platform for discussing this important topic with the Tongji Porsche Engineering Symposium.”

Porsche Engineering’s involvement in China has a long tradition. This ensures that customers always receive the full range of premium services offered by Porsche Engineering no matter where they are.

One important element of Porsche Engineering’s engagement in China is its cooperation with Tongji University in Shanghai. The collaboration promotes exchange with regard to science, research, instruction, testing facilities and practical experience. “We highly value our long-standing collaboration with Porsche Engineering and are delighted to intensify that relationship further with the Tongji Porsche Engineering Symposium,” says Professor Yu, professor at Tongji University’s School of Automotive Studies.
