Engineering Career
Learn to see the Big Picture.
Engineering Career (EC) is directed at curios and motivated young engineers who have already gotten to know the company for a few months and gained some initial professional experience. Through interdisciplinary project work, EC participants gain insights into different fields of activity.
Example of promoting diverse competences:
- Technical competence:
Cross-training through project work in various disciplines - Method competence:
Round tables and tech talks round out the methodology toolbox - Personal competence:
Sparring talks support the transfer of theoretical knowledge to the project and provide the space for reflection
The approach of Porsche Engineering is to foster the development of capabilities for networked, coordinative and cooperative thinking. Our modular cross-training system conveys the fundamentals of these capabilities along with technical expertise. “On the job,” this development program lasts up to 2 years. Participants are actively involved in the decision concerning the path that will lead to their defined target position. They expand their knowledge and gain experience. This lays the foundation for participants to conduct projects with professionalism and deep technical understanding and rapidly assume positions of responsibility.
